Our FASTR research team along with collaborators at the University of Washington, Boston Children’s Hospital, and the USOPC just published the results of a study with 40 Team USA female athletes. With the athletes as the experts in their unique needs, they went through a 3 round delphi process to ultimately rank the top 14 research topics these elite female athletes believed would be most impactful to their health, performance, and well-being.
This unique study design, with the athlete voice as the focus, resulted in an impactful list of research topics that lays the foundation for future research and provides valuable insight into the specific needs of female athletes.
Read the study published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine HERE or at the button below. If these topics spark an idea, reach out to the FASTR team or study authors to collaborate.
Thank you to the Voice in Sport foundation and Wu Tsai Human Performance Alliance for funding this project.
